FULL STACK WEBSITE: DESIGNING, HOSTING & SSL CONFIGURATION
Overview
Today’s world of Information Technology is driven in terms of Business Development. A crucial area in Business Development is the entire Web family. Can you name one professional industry, company, firm, institute, or an organization not having its website? No. Websites are the first source of marketing, branding, and developing the organization, business, or any institute. This website represents the unique modern design for a modern hotel with working functionalities and security with integrated Domain name & Secured Socket Layers.
Under the part of hosting this Project is divided into two parts:
- AWS EC2 Instance Hosting. • 000WebHost Hosting.
Design & Development
HTML — Hypertext Mark-up Language is the basic pillar and structure of Web Development. Without HTML, Websites are not possible to be developed. With HTML, we can construct the basic structure of the entire website.
CSS — Cascading Style Sheets becomes the beauty parlor of the website. With CSS we can design the pages the way we want. There is an end number of modern elements that CSS provides.
Bootstrap is a free and open-source CSS framework directed at responsive, mobile-first front-end web development. It contains CSS and JavaScript-based design templates for typography, forms, buttons, navigation, and other interface components.
JavaScript becomes the backbone of our entire website. It makes the website User Interactive with modern functionalities. JavaScript is highlevel, often just-in-time compiled, and multiparadigm. It is dynamic typing, prototype-based object-orientation, and first-class functions.
We can include jQuery as a JavaScript library which is designed to make HTML DOM tree traversal and manipulation as simple as it can, as well as event handling, CSS animation, and Ajax. It also boosts CSS & Bootstrap to enable the mobile port view as best as it can be, depending upon the device.
PHP — Hypertext Pre-Processor, a server-side scripting language is the leading pillar of our project. PHP makes sure that the entire website is strongly developed. To make the website more secure and dynamic we shall use PHP.
MySql –is the relational database management system. We have used MySql just for testing purposes and Phase 1. MySql can facilitate the functioning of User interactive forms and databases and can be deprived by MySql.
Testing & Hosting
Hosting Phase 2: Hosted on 000WebHost powered by Hostinger
We chose 000WebHost as our commercial Hosting service as it facilitates free PHP dynamic website hosting.
DNS & SSL Configuration
We always require a domain name to commercially deploy our website. For us, we consider GoDaddy Inc. as the best domain service provider.
- Log in to GoDaddy search for your required domain and purchase it.
- As soon as we host our website on AWS EC2 Instance we just have to direct our IPV4 address from EC2 Instance to A record in DNS Management. We can also setup cname records for ‘www’ redirects.
In the case of 000WebHost hosting, we have to transfer the nameservers provided by 000WebHost and replace them with custom GoDaddy Nameservers.
- But we also have to configure SSL certificate so after replacing the Nameserver of 000WebHost with GoDaddy, we need to log in to Google Cloudflare, we need to select the basic free plan and enter our domain name URL, for e.g., hotelhospicesurat.com.
- Cloudflare will soon ask to replace its nameservers on GoDaddy that means it will get replaced with 000WebHost’s nameservers.
- The entire DNS will be under Cloudflare.
Search Engine Optimization
There are more than millions of websites hosted & deployed on the internet. Those websites on the internet want to get searched or wants to appear at the top of the search engine result page.
Search Engine intellectuals use the concept of Search Engine Optimization for such things. Search Engine Optimization is the process of improving the ranking of a website in search engines. Some of the well-known Search Engines are Google Search, Bing Search, Yahoo Search, DuckDuckGo Search, and so on many.
